Size: 39″

Notes

04/24/2010 Finally dried. Gauge after blocking is 4” to 31 sts. Making it a 39” chest. This is so weird because I would think that the stitches would loosen up after washing not shrink. And length from bottom to armhole is 12.5” + 1” for ribbing. Making it a little short for me.

04/19/2010 Posting as finished in Ravelry. It is currently blocking. Will have better pictures and an accurate blocked gauge measurement soon.

04/18/2010 Completed. Yahoooo! Finishing takes a LONG time.

04/1/2010 – Finished knitting. Now steeking and then finishing the ribbing around the v-neck and armholes.

Stayed pretty consistent with gauge BEFORE blocking at 30 sts per 4 inches on size 3.00 mm. (7.5 sts to 1 inch) This actually makes the vest smaller. Measured chest is 40” before blocking. Yikes. Will measure again after everything is off the needles.

09/30/2009 – Got a gauge of 29 stitches per 4 inches on size 3.00 mm. According to sizing chart, this would mean that the size I would make will be a 44” vest.

Tubular cast on with 4 US (3.50 mm). Ribbing with 1.5 US (2.50 mm).

It might be a tad snug, but it looks fantastic! I bet you could block it out looser a little bit if it’s not quite comfortable.
