Yarn Bowls

by Kenny on March 16, 2010

Who would have thunk?!?! Little cast aluminum yarn bowls.  These little things are so cute!  Look, it even has a little slit for the yarn to go through.

I’m getting me one.  I really need to spruce up my knitting life.  I need little trinkets like this.  I mean, I have a generic ball winder, a generic swift, 0-rings from the hardware store as stitch markers, a pair of kitchen scissors, boxes from Target to put each project that I’m working on in and a mini ice-chest by Igloo to store my needles in.  I mean, come on!!

I need decorative stitch markers, I need knitting jewelry, I need project bags, I need beautifully tailored needle storage and I need a Yarn Bowl!

Also, I know the guy that sells the yarn bowls and he’s just the sweetest guy ever.  Hey, no one said I couldn’t support a friend right?  So, go to Etsy and search for yarn bowls and they are by kylewilliam.  Or just go here!

Thanks guys and have fun!

You store your needles in an ice chest? I can’t imagine this. Pictures?

FYI, I can’t remember, and I’m not bothering at 11 p.m. to check, but I did see some very pretty ceramic yarn ball bowls on ETSY also. Love the idea of them. The problem is that my yarn (and associated projects) spends almost as much time in the car as in the house, making such pretties very impractical. Too bad.

I was given one of these as a gift and I love it!
