It’s time

by Kenny on June 9, 2007

It’s time to post again.

Geez, I’m being really bad about this blog thing these days. I remember how I used to have a fan base and I posted like at least twice a week.

Well, now, things just seemed to have moved into another direction.

Let’s see, update.

  1. Depression lifted, so I get out of the house more.
  2. Becoming a super yogi. Well, not that good, but working out with yoga to look better.
  3. Concentrating more on work. Didn’t get a very good review and need to kick ass this year.

But something that I’ve been wanting to share is my publication. I know that this book came out years ago, but I finally got it and took some pictures.

I’m PUBLISHED!!!!!

Men Who Knit & The Dogs Who Love Them

This is the cover:

This is my quote:

This is the pattern I knitted. Look here for the long story about that project here. Long story short, is that the yarn for the sleeves didn’t match the yarn for the body, and Annie tried to dye the whole thing and it felted. That’s why it’s not in the book.

But at least I’m of worthy mention:

So, there, I’ve posted. Later gators……..

More about my Sampler Stole to come……

It’s nice to see you back, kenny. I am looking forward to seeing more of the Sampler Shawl.

Next time I see that book, I’ll have to read your entry. Don’t think I’ll buy it, though –there’s not a lot of lace knitting in there :) .

Test knitter is test knitter – some stuff doesn’t get in for any number of reasons. And a quote!!

Welcome back!

Been wondering where you were. But it sounds like you’ve been busy with good, important stuff, so I’d say an absence from the blog is pretty excusable.

Congrats on being published!

Hi honey! Hooray on all accounts! The lifted depression, the yogameister-ness, the initiative at work, and especially the published stuff. All excellent stuff. You go, boyfriend! :-D
Big hugs for believing in yourself, and making sure that you love yourself enough to make things better. :-)

Kenny,
I only recently found your blog and your tutorials are really great! The one about lace is super helpful as I tend to forget to put lifelines in and then screw up and the idea of ripping out lace is terrifying! I am glad to hear you’re feeling better! I look forward to future tutorials and blog entries!!

Kenny,

We are here at knitting camp with your friend. Humm. Why aren’t you here? Ask her about the bun she bought.

A month already, almost a whole month since you posted. We’re concerned! We miss you!

Kenny,

We heard you are a yarn snob. We have Michael’s coupons for you. Should I give them to Barb?

Congrats on the feature of you in the publication!

Proud of you.

High five on your stole. I spend more time reading about lace than actually knitting it, because I just don’t have enough valium. But I have looked at my copy of GOL almost every day for weeks. Even though we tend to be the kind of community where everyone is “supportive e.g., people are always saying “You can do it!” or “It’s not that hard.”, that stole is hard, and you did it. I’m impressed. I’m seriously depressed. But I never blog about. You’re a brave person.
